Slave To The Rhythm T-Shirt

For Selador’s 150th release, Dave Seaman & Steve Parry collaborated on a track they titled ‘Slaves To The Algo-Rhythm’. 

It was an ironic phrase that summed up how music has increasingly become more of a commodity in the digital era and which also seemed to resonate with creatives from other disciplines too. 

For us, it’s just plain wrong that artists are being pressured into prioritising a consistent flow of content over their own personal and artistic development just to appease the insatiable appetite of social media and music delivery platforms. 

So, with all this in mind, Selador is delighted to have joined the esteemed likes of David Holmes, Arthur Baker, Chuck D, Don Letts and so many more as a partner of Glasgow’s beloved 1 of 100 T-Shirt crew for an exclusive collaboration which further makes our feelings known on this subject.  

We’ve also teamed up with long term friend of the label and illustrator extraordinaire No Fresco Yo (Austin to his mum) for this one, a special Tee which now carries this message close to our hearts. Quite literally! 

Go your own way.

Don’t be a Slave To The Algorithm.
